  2. Hello Everyone, Has anyone travelled over Europe in their Motorhome with their dog(s)? We bought our latest caravan for the dog so he can come with us on our holidays (as we miss the excited little furball..) and now we've changed to a Motorhome we are hoping to get a bit further afield for some "proper" touring with the pooch - so next year we are hoping to do a few tours of France/Spain/Portugal/The Netherlands etc. and wondered if people had done this with their dogs and how they found it? Were there any problems with finding places to stay without booking if you have a dog?
  3. Hello All I've been a member of caravan talk for years now and decided I must come over to Motorhome now we are moving to "the dark side". We've had caravans on and off since our nipper (who is 20 now) was 3 but hubby was never quite content with staying in one place, we had some epic journeys across France with the 'Van but it did seem like a bit too much of a faff with the setting up and packing away. We found the perfect little Motorhome for us at Lowdhams - one of their specials, a Bessacarr 410 as it's just the 2 of us and the dog now.. Looking forward to many adventure
  4. Hello, I've come over from the dark side (Caravan Talk) although I am currently a motorhomer! I'm Kelly and I run a small business selling handmade cushions, quilts, home accessories and gifts. I'm doing some market research to see if people would buy caravan and motorhome-themed products (such as mugs, tea towels and cushions) as well as bespoke, custom-made duvet and pillowcase sets, and I need your help. I've created a very quick online survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QZTF9MS - everyone who takes part will be entered into a prize draw, with one of my caravan print cushions and
  5. Is there an elephant in the room? A motorhome may well be the second biggest (or biggest?) purchase in life for many of us yet as a group motorhomers (and caravanners) seem to just accept poor design and continue to shell out large sums for the latest big shiny white box Big problem with caravans and coach built motorhomes is the dissimilar materials used in their construction. Manufacturers just chose panels of aluminium, grp and plastic joining them together without any real thought to weatherproofing. Allowing a percentage of the profit margin to squirt sealant over leaking joints is n
  6. Not all motorhome insurance claims are for on the road collisions, manoeuvring mishaps and cracked windscreens. The latest infographic from Caravan Guard shows just how easy it is for motorhomes to get tangled up in even the most unlikely of scenarios. Whether you’re a seasoned expert with years’ of motorhoming experience, or you are still fairly new to it all, it doesn't hurt to remind yourself of what can (and does) go wrong. Anyone have any other bizarre tales to tell? http://www.caravanguard.co.uk/news/motorhome-insurance-claims-infographic-6428/
  7. Hi everyone! My Insurance provider, Club Care, have launched a new survey for motorhome owners to find out more about us, our tastes and our preferred holidays. I saw it on their twitter feed so thought i'd share on here... I'm intrigued to find out the results! http://dotmailer-surveys.com/2933yad-40sjl8e
  8. Hi there I'm new to motorhoming and wondered what are the best places in the UK to go for a motorhome holiday? Interested to hear what people have to say. Sam
