  1. Only thing i can suggest, as i'm assuming you don't want to pay about £2k to have a filter fitted, is to find a storage yard further out of London. I'm also guessing that you don't drive in to central London in it? I've seen some come up on a google search when i've been looking at my area in Kent as a few are quite close as the crow flies.
  2. She, like me, has never been bothered by age. She's 40 & doesn't care any more about that than she did when she turned 18 - we were together then as well. You can't stop getting older any more than you can the world spinning.
  3. Well things turn & turn in our house. Didn't get the C5 after all. Never mind, what never had I can't miss. Have been thinking over the last few months that there must be some device, like a modified transfer box , that could disconnect the drive shafts on an auto to allow them to be towed. Easier on a rear wheel drive car that just has one drive shaft, but it must be doable. If it doesn't exist it should & maybe with my change of work environs coming up it's something I could do. Who knows?
  4. If you don't mind me asking what sort of motorhome do you have? Workmates thought his van was not LEZ compliant but turns out it was.
  5. Thats was my thought. Interesting to see if you could tow an electric car? The drive train must be hooked up all the time, so would be the same as towing an auto wouldn't it? Could always tow on a trailer i suppose.
  6. I haven't had a chance to take it down to marquis yet!! We've had a really busy time of late with Mrs W's 40th & a few family issues. I'm supposed to be off from the 8th to the 18th of August & have had to cancel our trip to north yorkshire - due to said family issues, see thread in social club section of CT - so hopefully can get it down there during that week.
  7. I'd ask the original manufacturer. I asked autotrail if they could fit additional seat belts in my scout. They replied that it wasn't something they usually do, but that they had the drawings for the anchor points etc & if I went to an approved workshop they would send the details through. Not sure what make van you have, but there might a set of drawings or tech spec somewhere showing same for your van. Not ideal if they'll only issue to an approved workshop for a DIY-er such as yourself, but if it were me I'd want anything like this done professionally.
  8. Hi mate - sounds like you've been busy. One question you may be able to help me with was where you preserved your parts from? Need a few spares & can do a lot of it myself, but can't seem to find where to get bits I need from Thanks Woodie
  9. I'm not quite sure how or when this latest thing has happened, but I'm going to have get it fixed pretty sharpish. One of the windows in the side of the overcab sleeping bunk has gone!! Only noticed it an hour or so ago. Don't know if it's been like that since the weekend, or someone has somehow prised it out & taken it. I'm really quite baffled. It's covered by black gaffa tape for the moment but will need replacing ASAP. I'm not quite sure how or when this latest thing has happened, but I'm going to have get it fixed pretty sharpish. 10. Its surprising what a difference an inch makes!! Not about motorhomes - but i do our AV installs at work & we wanted to upgrade 2 meeting rooms with new tv screens, so we set about looking for the best deal. Found that we could get 2 x 54" samsung all singing all dancing tv's for £5600. If we wanted that extra inch & get a 55" screen they were £6000 each!! Needless to say, we stuck with the 54". Bose stuff is the dogs doodabs. i have bose headphones & mrs W has some bose ear buds. The sound is fantastic - you can keep your Dr Dre's. Defo need a few more members in here - but it seems every day another CT member is selling up & getting a motorhome. Henrypartridge came over a few weeks ago & gellyneck announced this morning he'd done the same, so we might get a bit livelier soon
  11. Well, played one off against the other & got a better quote from the C & CC overall when interest on the monthly installments & breakdown cover are all taken in to consideration, plus they've given me key cover up to £1500 & legal thrown in. No deposit to pay either, just carry on with the DD as was. happy with that as i'm still paying about £90 less than i was last year
  12. Blimey Sam - you don't hang around do you!! Well i've done none of that as our MH was pretty well sorted - until it went in for service that was, but there's a whole thread about that!! Sounds like its all round to yours for the world cup final on that 22" tv!!
  13. Hi Sam - you managed to log in then!! Nice to see you've joined us over here on the 'dark side' Hope you enjoy your trips out when your motorhome is up to speed.
  14. Well, things move on, so as Gordon says, i'm keeping you posted. It seems i may have inherited a new (to us) car. Its a Citroen C5 picasso automatic. Was Mrs W's grandfathers who has sadly passed away. It is immaculate & although its an 06 reg, only has 28000 miles on the clock. Plan is that we use that as our main family car as its an auto meaning we can both drive it (mrs W only has an auto licence) & then we can sell the grand voyager, putting the proceeds in to a Fiesta / Peugeot 206 size manual car - should get around £3k for the voyager, so should be able to get a fairly decent run about for that - & then i can have that adapted for towing. Our older lad can also have a few lessons with me to get him driving. means we will have 4 vehicles, but that our choice i suppose.
