97-4t Steve
Hi We have been travelling since Mid July through Europe, and now almost back to Calais. We have been struggling to recharge our bikes as we need 240v. Have found a few aires with free electric points but when we wild camp it would be good to have a back up. Previously we had a 12v converter through cigarette lighter, however that has given up the ghost in under a year. Have had a refund for it though. I had thought of getting a small inverter with a single socket then putting some battery tails on it to see if we could charge through the solar panels. Anyone else provide me with an alternative or even a good inverter, it would be much appreciated.

We have a small mains inverter but even with the full 15A available from the 12V cigarette lighter according to the specification it only outputs 0.63A max (150W) at mains voltage. Suffice to say I cannot recall the last time it was used as we never wild camp and always opt for EHU when on site. Whilst driving we can run the onboard generator to power up the mains sockets if needed. Sorry not to be of more help.
