  2. Hi forumites, just wondering is there anyone out there who is qualified enough to tell us if the fuel additives that you put in the diesel tank are any good for the engine performance and economy or are we wasting our hard earned pennies. The reason being that when i started my first job in the sixties at a service station it was common to see Redex shooters at the side of the pumps at 1d a shot but now days never any mention of Redex, i realise that engines are better quality produced but is fuel pretty much the same as its always been all being that lead has been removed. Can someone throw some light on the issue. Cheers Trevsmate
