  5. Private motorhome hire website launched in UK Motorhome owners in the UK can now make money from their vehicles when not in use by renting them out to like-minded campers not fortunate enough to own their own. A company known as Yescapa has expanded its peer-to-peer motorhome rental platform to the UK, meaning British motorhome owners can list their vehicles on the site and allow others to rent them at a price of their choosing. Yescapa claims it "offers owners a way of making motorhomes not only a source of personal great freedom and enjoyment, but also an amazing opportunity to make money from their prized asset". The company is already successfully operating in Europe – with 3,000 vehicles in France, Germany and Spain listed on its website – and now hopes to expand to similar numbers in the UK. Yescapa has also teamed up with insurance company Allianz, meaning all rentals are covered and benefit from roadside assistance. The company also checks identification and driving licences of users with each transaction to ensure a good experience for all. If you are interested in trying motorhoming for the first time, the Club has plenty of online advice on the various types available, driving licence requirements, manoeuvring, safety and the best accessories. 0
  6. DVLA cancelled license

from C Talk I know of several caravanners who spend a long period in Spain and some, for various reasons use a postal address in England, especially if for example they have let out or even sold their home. But beware,a friend of mine is in Spain now and uses a postal address for £25.00 a year,he simply tells him where he is and he sends on any important looking mail. Trouble is,he applied to renew his driving license and somehow, don't know how,the DVLA found out and cancelled his license with immediate effect! As he didn't have a permanent home address in U.K. This isn't an old story,it happened last week. Beware!
